My Life in Photography
For as long as I can remember, photography has been an integral part of my life. From receiving my first camera in 4th grade, to discovering the magic that could be created in the darkroom while in my teens, I became captivated with photography at a very young age. When my children were in grade school, I started a portrait photography business at my home, which then inspired me to open a full time portrait studio in a beautiful space, where I was fortunate to work with an incredible assistant and wonderful clients. I'm so thankful that I've been able to spend my adult life doing work that I absolutely love! Portrait photography has allowed me to have a very fulfilling life where I could express myself creatively, meet amazing people, and be acknowledged by my peers with dozens of awards, published work, and professional recognition as a Master of Photography.
Although my availability for creating portraits is more limited now, I'll always be deeply passionate about portrait photography. Recently, the next chapter of my career has become focused on flower photography, usually photographed in gardens at my home. Throughout my life, I've always had a deep connection to the natural world, and found that being in nature was where I could find the kind of serenity that is essential to me. Among the flowers, I'm inspired to create dreamy images that evoke quiet, reflective moments, offering a restful retreat into the gentle world of my imagination. I'm excited to share my peaceful visions, which will soon be available as prints, notecards, and other items. In the meantime, please contact me if you find an image you love, and I'll be happy to work with you to create something beautiful for you and your home!
